We are a 24-hour specialist Semi-independent provider for young people
16+ Children Looked After & Care Leavers
We work in partnership with local authorities and social services across the UK to provide a supportive home for young people seeking to live independently. Our goal is to encourage, educate, and equip them with the tools they need to successfully transition into independence.
What to Expect at the Start of Your Placement
Upon arrival, each young person is allocated a key worker and co-key workers who initiate the induction and welcoming process. This includes:
Introduction to Facilities: A tour of the property covering fire exits, assembly points, and kitchen amenities.
Meeting Housemates: Facilitating introductions to ensure a smooth integration.
Personal Space: Allocating personal space in the kitchen for the young person’s items.
Understanding the Rules: Reviewing house rules, completing a risk assessment form, and providing time to settle in comfortably.
During their stay, young people are encouraged to:
Follow house rules.
Use the complaints procedure or suggestion box if dissatisfied with accommodation, services, or in cases of harassment or discrimination.
Engage in mediation and conflict resolution when relationships are challenging. Our in-house guide is also available for additional support.
Supporting Young People Like Family
We view our young people as family. Every year, we demonstrate this value by taking them on an international trip to help them feel valued and trusted. These trips aim to:
Enjoy and Achieve: Experience international independence and enjoy meaningful travel with familiar peers.
Make a Positive Contribution: Participate in activities abroad that foster positive citizenship and cultural immersion.
Achieve Economic Well-being: Learn about local currencies, exchange rates, and the economic value of cultural experiences.
